Utilo ("we", "our") operates utilo.xyz. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. Short version: our tools run entirely in your browser, we don't require accounts, and we don't sell your data — because we barely collect any.

1. Information we collect

a) Information you provide

• Contact form: if you contact us, we receive your name, email address, and message content. We use it only to respond.
• Newsletter signup: if you subscribe, we receive your email address to send occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

b) Information processed locally (never sent to us)

Files you compress, text you analyze, passwords you generate, QR codes you create, and numbers you enter into calculators are processed entirely on your device by JavaScript running in your browser. This data is never transmitted to our servers, and we have no way to access it.

c) Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and operational purposes. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage (for example, which tools are popular). We do not use this data to identify you personally.

2. Cookies

Utilo itself sets no tracking cookies and requires no login. Third-party advertising partners (see below) may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them will not break our tools.

3. Advertising

We plan to display ads served by third-party vendors, including Google. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (link to be added when ads go live). We will update this section with the exact vendors in use before any ad code is deployed.

• To operate and improve the site and its tools.
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To send newsletters you explicitly signed up for.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Locally processed tool data is never stored by us at all.

7. Children's privacy

Utilo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but our architecture — no accounts, no uploaded files — keeps the attack surface small by design.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, when advertising goes live). Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
